Finally it comes to the day of harvesting for our second re-farming campaign! In year 2015, the rain season did not come on time and our rice seedlings were grown under a lack of water. In the end, we did not have a high crop yield. Ironically, there was a heavy rain in the morning of our harvesting day, and many of our volunteers were stuck in the farm during the weed clearance. Finally, with joint-effort, we had overcome the challenges and made the best preparation for the next around of sowing. We may have faced the down side of farming, but it is also a memorable experience for us to understand the challenges that farmers are facing everyday and also a good reminder for us to treasure our food even more.
