FAQ

CONNECTIVITY

Whether good transportation link will be provided to adjoining areas like Sok Kwu Wan during operations stage so that shops/restaurant operators there can be benefited from the increased number of tourists and that the residents can enjoy the new facilities offered at the development?

Linkage from the development to adjoining areas can be via walking trail and ferry routes. There is suggestion to improve the road network, which will need to be discussed with Government. This can well be studied in conjunction with the proposed development at ex-Lamma Quarry site and continued development of Sok Kwu Wan. The Project Proponent will welcome improved road network to adjoining Sok Kwu Wan and will cooperate with Government on the desired form of transportation. As far as ferry link is concerned, there will be public pier facilities at the Waterfront Plaza. Hence in addition to regular ferry services operated by the estate management, there will be ferry services operated by franchised operator and kaido services run by approved local operators. The competition among the operators will ensure a fare structure that is affordable to all. The journey time to Sok Kwu Wan will be less than 10 minutes and improved service is possible with the increase resident and tourist population.

Apart from the Yacht Club, all services and facilities, such as ferry, supermarket, clinic etc will be opened to the public, and so will be the helicopter pad for emergency evacuation. Government/Institution/Community facilities will be provided within the Waterfront Plaza as requested by Government to ensure public safety and to provide affordable basic services and amenities to local residents within the development and adjoining areas.
