FAQ

GREENWASHING

How committed and dedicated are you about the extensive green features of your proposal? The HK-listed developers have been building and selling numerous luxury developments all over China very successfully. Are these green features included mainly to get the currently "green" zoning changed and then sell luxury property?

We believe that if the proposed development is approved by Government, there will be stringent requirements imposed on the Lease Conditions to deliver the green features agreed to be provided. In other words, we will not be able to sell the property if we do not comply with the Lease Conditions. As a matter of fact, these green features are essential parts of the whole development concept and part of the life style. The developer believes its continued success hinged on the quality of its development and honouring of its commitments.

Conservation is just a gimmick for the developer to gain public support. When the developer gets the zoning approval from the government, they are unlikely to commit to what they have promised.

Conservation is no longer a gimmick, it is becoming a way of life. This is a new life style that we propose for the development. Whatever conservation measures and initiatives we propose for the development and accepted by Government can be written into the Land Grant Conditions, full compliance with which is required for completion of the development.

The purpose of introducing “green features” into the development is to get the currently "green" zoning changed. The developer doesn’t want to preserve the natural environment at all..

Low carbon sustainable development is becoming the norm. BoL can prove that conservation and development can indeed co-exist. All the green features proposed are genuine because this is the path future developments will have to take. BoL simply looks ahead, sees the trend and takes the lead.
