BoL Participated at Eco Expo and ACFN Conference and Showcased the Low Carbon Strategy   ( 2015/11/03 )

Jointly organised by Messe Frankfurt (HK) Ltd and the Hong Kong Trade Development Council with co-organisation by the Environment Bureau, Eco Expo Asia 2015 was held between 28 to 31 October 2015 and the model of The Baroque on Lamma was unveiled to the public for the first time.

Eco Expo Asia 2015 showcased the latest innovations in environmental products and services from around the world.  This year, Eco Expo Asia welcomed 320 exhibitors representing 18 countries and regions, including China, EU, Japan and etc..  The booth of BoL attracted hundreds of visitors, including government officials, green technologists, academics and public from China, England, Hong Kong, Japan, Netherlands, Singapore, Thailand and etc., and most of them are highly impressed by the innovative community planning concept of BoL, which preserves the land with high ecological value (secondary woodland) with zero displacement of local villagers, in additional to the full utilisation of green technology.

Furthermore, Green Council of Hong Kong successfully hosted the "Asia Carbon Footprint Network Conference 2015" together with the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific ("ESCAP") and the Korea Environmental Industry & Technology Institute between 23 to 25 November in Hong Kong, in order to promote increased awareness of environmental protection and the development of a regional strategic framework for addressing and managing carbon emissions in Asia.

August Tiu, General Manager of BoL, introduced the project’s Low Carbon Strategy and how innovative planning and construction can substantial reduce carbon emission and protect the environment to over 160 overseas and local participants.
